The Toynbee Prize Foundation
Scope
Logo Design, Brand Kit, Website Design + Development
The Toynbee Prize Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the field of global history through scholarship, interviews, essays, and conversations with historians around the world. With an extensive digital archive built over years of publishing, the goal to create a new website that felt more cleaner, editorial and intuitive, while preserving the legacy of the work already there. We developed a new visual identity, logo and built their new website on WordPress, where it houses more than 800 articles.

The Process
1. Brand Foundation
We created a new logo and supporting brand kit that gave the Foundation a more current visual identity while maintaining the academic credibility of the organization.
2. Editorial Website Design
We designed a modern editorial website that feels current and approachable without losing the sense of history and institutional weight behind the Foundation’s work.
3. Content Architecture
With hundreds of articles, interviews, and resources to organize, we developed a structure that makes a substantial archive easier for both readers and the Foundation’s team to navigate.
4. Legacy Content Migration
More than 800 existing articles were carefully brought into the new WordPress environment, preserving years of published scholarship while creating a stronger foundation for future content.
5. Newsletter Creation & Segmentation
Contact organization, importing, and tagging for audience segmentation, alongside custom email design and automated newsletter workflows.
6. SOP & Training Handoff
Developed a comprehensive, 10+ step SOP with written instructions and video tutorials, equipping current and future team members to independently manage the website, publish articles, and maintain ongoing operations.
